Small Batch Process

Merge's batch booth powder system consists of a Wash booth, Powder Spray booth, and Batch Cure Oven and are tailored for small run colors or oversized parts.

Batch booth can accommodate parts 8' wide x 8' tall by 14' long.

The Wash Booth allows a controlled space for parts to be pretreated with our alkaline cleaner, followed by fresh water rinse, then completed with a zirconium based conversion coating. Once properly pretreated product moves to the oven to ensure all of the moisture is removed for perfect powder application and cure. Proper pre-treatment processes and chemicals are paramount to ensure a high-quality finish.

After completion of the pre-treatment and dry off process the part is allowed to cool and then is moved to the powder booth for powder application.

Following powder application, the part moves back to the oven for a full cure cycle. Once fully cured the product is allowed to cool and is then inspected and packaged for shipment.

As with the conveyor line, colors are virtually limitless and there are a multitude of textures to choose from.
